God’s word: mechanical issues

Verse of the Day

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples. “I am the Vine, you are the branches. John 15:5, 8 MSG

I’ve been trying to think of an appropriate way to write this blog without using foul language and I have to remember that God is my protector. First of all I want to thank everyone who helped out during our time of distress.

About 2 to 3 weeks ago my van started making a loud noise it also smelled burnt. It sounded like it was about to fall apart. My mom tries to break it to me gently that it’s not safe for me to ride in the van until we get it fixed. There are two modes of transportation that I rely on heavily my wheelchair and my van. When either of those two things breaks down, I feel stranded at home, that is the most uncomfortable feeling ever, because I feel trapped.

On November 23, 2015, the van was diagnosed by Hoyt Automotive. They said it’s the power steering hose. Okay, no big deal, we now play the waiting game. We get the van back on December 2, 2015; it makes it about 15 to 20 miles before the noise comes back worse than before. The upper radiator hose was expanding to the point of bursting. The radiator hose had greasy fingerprints on it, however it was not changed. Anyone could see that the radiator hose needed to be changed. Hoyt was called again; he said bring it back to us, (Thought bubble). Not even if you were the last mechanic shop on earth!

Instead, the van was brought to Masters Touch at 3720 West Pinhook on December 3, 2015. Mr. Eddie diagnosed the trouble as the air conditioner compressor, an a/c drier, a/c hose and a bad upper radiator hose. All of these parts needed to be replaced. The van was ready on December 8, 2015.

Note: my mom helped me to tell the story. I asked her to tell me everything that each mechanic said. I didn’t find out that the van was still broken until Saturday December 5, 2015 because my mom thought she could have it fixed in time for church and I would never have to know about it. Unfortunately, she had to tell me that the van was taken to Masters Touch. Needless to say I was not happy when I found out about everything that happened the day she went and got the van back from Hoyt Automotive. We thought that Hoyt Automotive was the best choice because it was closer and they helped my sister when her car needed to be fixed.

The moral of the story is no matter how convenient and close a mechanics shop is to your house. Sometimes it’s worth the drive to get better service, especially when it is something as important as my handicapped accessible van.

Do your research; don’t rely on a mechanics website for information. In my opinion Hoyt Automotive website is full of false advertisement. You know how I know that, if he was telling the truth on his website my van would have been fixed correctly the first time. And my mom wouldn’t have had to worry about my safety.

You can read all of the  misleading  information  right here at this website too much to list.

I want to thank Masters Touch for making my van safe again. I want to tell you something else God and the angels above really do watch out for us. I mean all of us; sometimes you may feel like everything is working against you. In the end God always finds a way to make things better. God always makes sure I am safe in my van. What I mean by that is I’ve never been stuck on the road. If anything happens to the van. It always seems to happen before I leave the house, that way I am never stuck in an unfamiliar place. It also helps that my mom and her siblings grew up around a mechanic shop. They know the ins and outs of a vehicle.

Thank you, God, for always being there to protect me and those around me from dangerous situations. I give you in your son Jesus all the glory. I don’t even want to think about what my life would be like without you in my corner. You are amazing, God!

On a side note to all my blog readers, I have decided to maybe go down to once a week in my blogs that way I can concentrate on one subject a week and make it nice and neat like this one. I wanted to make it look professional and nice and neat.

I have to say this blog entry was  difficult to write because I wanted to write about a very bad experience without using any angry tones that would overshadow my Christian faith. I’m asking you to do one more thing please share this blog entry I want to let people know that they should beware of who they trust with their vehicles.

Thank you for visiting today, and remember to visit my friend Jaycee at the website below.
